Rodeo Queen

2023 Miss NPRA Abby Torgerson

Abby Torgerson is the twenty-two-year-old daughter of Darren and Kim Torgerson. Born and raised in the small southern Oregon town where the wild and scenic Rogue River splits the town in two, she calls Grants Pass home. Her passion for helping people has led her to her career as a nurse. She currently works in the home health setting where she gets the  opportunity to travel to her patients and care for them in their own homes.

Unlike most rodeo queens, Abby got a late start to the horse world. She didn’t begin riding until she was 16, but never looked back! In Abby’s junior and senior year of high school she was involved in OHSET and 4-H and had the opportunity to ride in college on Utah State University’s western  equestrian team. In 2019, she was crowned as the 2020 Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo Princess. In 2021-22 she had the opportunity to represent the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo as their queen.

Outside of queening Abby can be found running with her dogs Wrangler and Paisley, coaching youth soccer, crafting, reading, or cruising around on her pink moped. Abby is looking forward to a year full of rodeo and representing the Northwest Professional Rodeo Association!
