Membership Info.

Permit Member- Often purchased by younger or first year contestants not going to very many rodeos in a season or contestants wanting to save their rookie year status. You do not need to purchase a permit with or before purchasing a contesting membership. Permit holders are not eligible to compete at the Finals and their money does not count toward the standings. Once a permit holder has won $500 they are required to purchase a contesting membership the next rodeo season.

Contesting Member-Contesting members are eligible for rookie awards their first competing season provided they have not been a member of another rodeo association before becoming a NPRA contesting member. Contesting members winnings count toward the year end standings allowing them to be eligible to enter or compete at the Finals.

Non-contesting member- Rodeo Committees, Judges, Timers, Stock Contractors, Photographers and Lessors. All non contesting personal must purchase a membership before working a NPRA prime rodeo.

Contract Acts Member- Announcers, Clown/Barrel man, Bullfighters, Drill Team Pickup Man, and Sound. All contract acts personnel must purchase a membership before working a NPRA prime rodeo.

Novice Membership- For Bareback and Saddle Bronc members just starting out who have not won $1500. Novice Bareback and Saddle Bronc members are eligible to enter or compete at the Finals.

BB-Bareback, SB-Saddle Bronc, BR-Bull Riding, TD-Tie Down Roping, SW-Steer Wrestling, TR-HD-Team Roping Header, TR-HL- Team Roping Heeler, CM-Cow Milking, WBR-Women’s Barrel Racing, BKR-Breakaway Ropi9ng, NBB-Novice Bareback, NSB-Novice Saddle Bronc.

Photographers: Anyone photographing at an NPRA Rodeo must hold a current, valid NPRA Photographer Membership.

Please remember that an NPRA Photographer Membership Card provides access for photography purposes only. It does not authorize the cardholder to perform additional media, production, personnel, or contract-act duties.

Photographers must check in with the rodeo secretary upon arrival to verify their current membership.
